Magnificent Magnesium!

One supplement I cannot live without is magnesium.  It helps with my muscle soreness after running or working out and I have also found it to be helpful with menstral cramping. It also seems to have an overall calming effect on the body.  I have had friends tell me that it has eliminated their restless legs and has even improved their quality of sleep!   I use Magsense powder once a day in my water.  MagSense contains magnesium bisglycinate which is apparently the best form of magnesium. So why magnesium you might ask?

Here’s what Dr. Marita Schauch, BSc, ND had to say about this supplement:

Magnesium bisglycinate is an amino acid chelate form of magnesium that is not dependent on stomach acid for absorption making it highly bioavailable and well tolerated.  As an essential mineral responsible for over 300 reactions in the body, I recommend MagSense for my patients complaining of restless legs, muscle cramping, impaired nerve transmission, and to help support healthy bones and overall improved energy and well being.”

Magnesium deficiency can affect every organ of the body and can be linked to cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic fatigue, behavioral issues, anxiety disorders, restless legs, migraines, osteoporosis, muscles soreness and cramping, TMJ pain and PMS.

Magnesium Rich Foods:

  • Black beans
  • Broccoli
  • Flax
  • Halibut
  • Sesame seeds
  • Spinach
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Swiss Chard
  • Salmon

So tell me, are you getting enough magnesium?

You can purchase MagSense or a variety of different magnesium supplements at your local health food store
